we grieve this earthly loss today, on the anniversary of her own daughter’s passing. margaret, you have loved, you have accepted, you have encouraged, you have been faithful. you were one of the very first people to visit me when i was only days old in lynchburg, Va. you had made me a quilt & it’s one of the only mementos from my childhood. then, i ended up marrying your son!!! you welcomed me in like your own daughter. thank you for being the best mother-in-love, the best meemaw to my kids, and a beautiful example of unconditional love. we will miss you this side of heaven❤️

this plant has been carried around the country w u

this plant has been carried around the country w us since last October. when i first bought it with my friend Dawn, it was covered in pink 🌺. but they’ve been gone for months, and the plant has been just green. in a moment of presence today, i stopped and admired one bloom that popped up… and continued on for my walk. upon returning, i noticed a 🐿️ must have decided it wanted to eat that bloom. 💁🏻‍♀️so tell me…. what’s the lesson i should walk away with here??
